We Don't Need More Information, We Need More Skills to Be Actionable
Wellness often feels like a puzzle: we know the pieces—healthy eating, movement, sleep, nurturing relationships and supportive environments—but putting them together can be surprisingly elusive. Why? Because knowing what we need to be well is only part of the equation; the real challenge lies in developing the skills to turn that knowledge into action.
To that end, I created the Where To Begin Membership Space for organizations where we explore and develop the social-emotional skills necessary to bridge the gap between awareness and implementation. Using evidence-based tools and strategies, participants will learn how to move beyond fleeting “aha” moments to create meaningful and sustainable change in their lives.
Whether you're seeking personal well-being and/or you’re a leader helping others on their wellness journeys, this membership space simplifies the process of building emotional intelligence and offers practical methods to make wellness actionable, accessible and lasting.
Let’s transform insight into action and redefine what it means to truly thrive. With my expertise in mental health, relationships and social emotional intelligence I’ve created a resource that is changing the world for the better, one individual and one organization at a time and I’d love for you to be part of it! The membership is set at a price point that even cash strapped non-profits can manage and I’m happy to offer an affiliate kickback to you if you refer organizations to me that purchases an annual subscription.
Now to some good things I’m paying attention to in no particular order…
Healthy Coping Strategies like hands on projects - One of the ways I manage uncomfortable feels (I’m having a lot of those lately) is to do house projects. On the list for that is learning to tile my kitchen backsplash (March) and bumping out the front door to capture some unused space for a larger entry way, most of which we will do ourselves. I’m excited to learn to frame a wall (husband is a pro at that and I want to be), DIY a basic front door to fit the Spanish style of our home and get more of that gorgeous AZ sunshine beaming down into our home. I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF THE SUN after living in the PNW, midwest and east coast most of my life! Send along any DIY tips and tricks you know for these projects!
Social Media Boundaries - I deleted TikTok and IG from my phone. I’m rarely on FB but have been diving deep into Pinterest for the house projects. I check IG on my laptop a few times per month and my amazing assistant manages posts and such. You can still find a great database of parenting, relationship and mental/emotional health tips there so feel free to go down that rabbit hole!
Building Community - I’m reaching out to local organizations that align with my values and I’m pouring energy into supporting people in person. We have to get back to basics friends! When the world feels like it’s spinning out of control we need to lean into actionable ways to do good. I invite you to do the same!
Intentionally Seeking Out Beauty and Good - To piggy back on my last item, I’m actively seeking out art, culture, connection and anything else that makes the world beautiful. I’m hitting art museums, the botanical gardens, farmers markets, amazing events around me like the silent disco I went to last Saturday night at the ASU Art Museum. The Taste of Melanin series is happening in our area in honor of Black History Month and the disco was so joyful and hot (omg sweaty!). Find some great things happening in your area that are RIGHT THINGS to pay attention to.
Season Three of Make Discomfort Your B*tch is launching this weekend! As always, I have some great guests in the queue. We are all about learning from others (why reinvent the wheel?) how they manage the discomfort of life so have a listen!
Thank you for reading! Wishing you lots of wellness always…
