Hi Friends! Just a quick note today…
We humans love a plan. We crave certainty—knowing exactly what’s happening, when we’ll reach our goals, which career path to take, what marketing strategy will work best. We want guarantees before we take action, a roadmap that assures us we’re making the right moves. But what if the real work isn’t in finding the perfect plan, but in developing the kind of self-trust that allows us to know, in the moment, whether something is truly for us (or not)?
Self-trust isn’t just a vague feeling; it’s a deep connection to our bodies and nervous systems.
When we learn to listen—really listen—we start noticing the subtle signals that guide us. The tension in our shoulders when we’re forcing something. The spark of ease when we’re in alignment. The exhaustion that can signal we’re on the wrong path. These are not random sensations; they are our inner compass, constantly feeding us valuable information. But too often, we override them with logic, fear, or external pressures instead of anchoring into our own wisdom.
The good news? Self-trust is a muscle we can strengthen. The more we practice tuning in—pausing before saying yes, noticing how opportunities feel in our bodies, allowing ourselves to move towards what feels right rather than what looks right—the more we build confidence in our ability to navigate life’s uncertainties. Because the truth is, no plan can ever account for every twist and turn. But when we trust ourselves, we don’t need a perfect roadmap. We just need the next right step.

I've been thinking about this today because I had a major stress trigger. I know it's not worth stressing about and having my nervous system on such high alert isn't good for me. I'm doing the things that allow it to reset, but find myself looking for a plan to forever avoid that feeling. LOL We all want impossible things, don't we?
